Pricing

Your quilting charge may include batting, backing, binding and thread.  After reviewing the design, thread color and size, we will give you a fixed quote. 

Edge-to-Edge (E2E) and Custom Quilting

For E2E designs, a single pattern is used on entire quilt top including borders from left to right.  We also provide custom quilting that we design specifically for your quilt to enhance the overall look and feel of the quilt.  Many quilts fall into the following price range.

We have thousands of Edge-to-Edge patterns for you to choose from. We will work with you to choose designs and quilting thread that transform your quilt top into a quilted treasure.

Finishing and Batting

You may supply your own batting or purchasing batting from Around the Block Quilting.  If you supply your own batting, it must be a minimum of 4” larger than your quilt top on all sides. We stock multiple kinds of batting by the roll and can quickly acquire others. See Batting Prices below for those currently in stock. 

We reserve the right to refuse batting that is in poor condition or is torn or overly wrinkled.  If you are supplying packaged batting, place it in a dryer with a damp towel or iron it flat.

Binding

Binding is charged by the running foot.  To determine the running foot of your quilt, use this formula:

Length _______ plus Width ________ x 2 = Divided by 12 __________ = running foot.

Round Up to the next ½ foot if needed.

• Binding #1 - $2.50 per running foot.  Includes trimming the quilt, making the binding and machine stitching the binding to the quilt top.  Hand stitching the binding to the back of the quilt is done by the customer.

• Binding #2 - $3.00 per running foot.  Includes all of the above and the binding is machine stitched in place.

• Binding #3 - $3.50 per running foot.  Includes everything in Binding #1 and the binding is hand-stitched in place on the back of the quilt by Around the Block Quilting.

• Custom Binding – price to be determined by the quilt.  This includes bias binding, curved or scalloped edges, etc.
